History and Usage:

Frankincense Pure Essential Oil is steam distilled from the resin of wildcrafted Boswellia carterii trees. This precious scent originates in the Middle East and has been valued since before the time of the ancient Greeks. Its rich scent comforts, elevates and centers.

Frankincense has long played a role in meditation and spirituality. The oil helps mature or dry skin and has been used on stretch marks and scars. In aromatherapy, it has been recommended for anxiety, asthma, bronchitis, extreme coughing and stress. Frankincense contains incensole acetate, which recent research in animals suggests may relieve depression.
