Dong Quai is one of the most prized herbs in Chinese medicine and is called the “female ginseng” because of its ability to balance a woman’s hormonal system. It is often recommended for the discomfort of menopause, postpartum weakness, PMS and painful or irregular menstruation. It is a source of Coumarin, which has an anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect, particularly on the uterus.
Dong Quai is also thought to be helpful for chronic nasal or sinus congestion, high blood pressure and anemia. Chinese doctors use it to enrich the blood, foster healthy circulation, soothe jangled nerves and relieve intestinal discomfort.
Each capsule contains 520 mg dong quai root.
Suggested Use: Take one or two capsules with a meal three times daily.
