Flax Essence™ contains flaxseed lignans, which are naturally occurring plant nutrients called phytoestrogens. The main lignan in flaxseed is secoisolariciresinol diglycoside (SDG). After ingestion, intestinal bacteria convert plant lignans to biological forms of lignans, including enterodiol and enterolactone.
These biologically active lignans support cardiovascular function, prostate health, bone health, healthy cell replication and hormone balance.
