Vitabase ALA/ALC is a powerful combination of Acetyl-L-Carnitine and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Much research has been done in recent days on the ability of this combination to slow the aging process and reduce oxidative stress. Vitabase ALA/ALC provides the proper combination of these ingredients in one convenient and economical formula.
According to a UC Berkeley study, this powerful combination of Acetyl-L-Carnitine and Alpha Lipoic Acid was able to put the spark back in aging mice. After consuming this combination, the mice had more energy and were much more active. They also performed better on memory tests.
ALA (alpha-lipoic acid) is an antioxidant. In addition to its own ability to scavenge free radicals, ALA helps other antioxidants work better, including Vitamins C and E and glutathione. Glutathione is produced in the liver and protects against cell damage from environmental stress like cigarette smoking or exposure to radiation.
ALC (acetyl-L-carnitine) is an amino acid closely related to the B-vitamins. ALC’s primary job is helping the cells have enough fatty acids to produce energy. It also helps improve the effectiveness of the antioxidants Vitamins C and E.

All Vitabase brand products are manufactured within the USA. This is an important for quality because the FDA inspects our manufacturing facilities regularly. In other countries, governmental agencies may not necessarily exercise much control over manufacturing processes.
We source our ingredients from around the world. This is important because the best available ingredients are not necessarily made in the United States. For example, we get our liquid herbal extract ingredients from Europe because they are absolutely the best on the market.
