OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) + 95 by Jarrow Formulas contains 95% polyphenols extracted from grape seeds (Vitis Vinifera), a very powerful phyto-antioxidant. OPCs + 95 is 100:1 grape seed extract. Procyanidins found in the extract are produced by the condensation (polymerization) of flavans (catechins) into oligomers and dimers.
The powerful nutrient has high levels of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC's), which are antioxidants that disarm the damaging effects of free radicals. OPC’s are water-soluble and allow fast absorption into the body. Because of OPC’s ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, they boost antioxidant protection for the brain and nervous system
Studies indicate that OPCs may treat chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition similar to varicose veins.
