History and Usage: Our bodies are bombarded by elements that can initiate the development of free radicals. Simply defined, free radicals are molecules that can bind to and affect body components through oxidative damage. One way to fight back is with antioxidants, compounds that disarm free radicals to prevent cellular damage.

Clinical Nutrients™ Antioxidant combines high concentrations of 15 antioxidant nutrients, making it one of the most comprehensive antioxidant formulas available. Beta-carotene, vitamin E, vitamin C, selenium, zinc, and manganese all have strong antioxidant powers. And riboflavin helps regenerate antioxidants after they've made free radicals ineffective.

This super-antioxidant also includes a green tea extract and procyanidolic oligomers (PCOs) from grape seeds—antioxidant substances 50 to 200 times more potent than vitamin E. Curcumin, the yellow pigment of Curcuma (turmeric), and N-acetylcysteine, a stable form of the amino acid cysteine, are also powerful antioxidants. In addition, it includes concentrated extracts of cabbage, garlic, ginger, and blue-green algae—foods with a broad range of antioxidant nutrients.
