Quick Recovery Rehydrating Lotion protects against damage from the sun while it nourishes the skin. This is a sunscreen with SPF 12 that blocks ultraviolet rays (both UVA and UVB) that can damage cells through oxidation and cause skin to look aged and tired. Complementing this protection is a number of antioxidants, substances that help to repair skin already harmed by oxidation (from sunlight or from other sources, such as fatigue, or simply from the passage of time). Vitamins C and E both counter the effects of cell damage. Rose hips, a particularly rich source of vitamin C, contain vitamins A and E as well. Vitamin A, a retinoid, is central to the maintenance of healthy skin. Quick Recovery Rehydrating Lotion also includes lavender and green tea extracts, which soothe the skin, while another herb, ginger, contributes its own antioxidant properties.
