Premium Shower Filter by New Wave Enviro Products is an easily installed replacement for your current shower head.
This shower head has a special filter contained within it which removes up to 98% of the chlorine obtained from tap water. Unfortunately, some people who are extremely sensitive to it experience extremely dry skin, itching, or stinging eyes. Additionally, the chlorine in tap water does not react well with many commercial shampoos, causing them to lose their effectiveness or they may even damage the hair. Those who use hair coloring may find their chosen hue fading faster than normal due to their water’s chlorine content. Filtering it out extends the time between colorings. The filter will not need to be replaced until after about one year of use.
Suggested Use: Unscrew and remove the existing shower head from the shower arm (1/2 in. pipe).
To minimize water drips, wrap the included teflon tape around the shower arm and the filter (optional).
Screw the Premium Shower Filter onto the shower arm and screw the shower head onto the Shower Filter. Hand Tighten Only- overtightening can crack the filter housing.
The Premium Shower Filter is now ready for use. Simply turn on the water as usual. The very first time the Shower Filter is used, the water may take a minute or so to flow through.
Whenever the Premium Shower Filter is opened to replace the cartridge, the o-rings there to keep the filter from leaking should be properly seated in their channels, and rubbed with Petroleum jelly to keep them supple. Petroleum jelly can also be used on the threads of the housing.
