Fiber occurs naturally in many foods and is important for optimum health and body function. Due to the increased refining of modern foods, however, the typical American diet lacks fiber.
Fiber plays a number of roles in our bodies but is primarily beneficial to the digestive system.
Fiber is generally categorized as soluble or insoluble. Insoluble fiber helps move materials through the digestive tract and is particularly helpful for constipation or irregular stools.
Very Berry Fiber contains inulin, a soluble fiber. Inulin progresses through the stomach and duodenum undigested, making itself available to the gut bacterial flora. Inulin is a very effective probiotic that stimulates growth of beneficial bacteria.
Because of its ability to pass through to the intestine, inulin may be more effective than many probiotic formulas that have difficulty getting through the stomach in an undigested form. Inulin also helps increase calcium absorption and possibly magnesium.
These great-tasting chewable tablets provide an easy way to increase your fiber intake.
Suggested Use: Adult dose is 4 chewable tablets per day, providing 4 grams of fiber. Maximum dose is 12 tablets.
Children 6 to 12: 2 tablets per day. Up to 3 days of continued use may be required to provide full benefit. If gas or bloating occurs, reduce daily dosage.
