Cape Aloe, Cascara sagrada, and senna are all natural herbs known for their laxative effect on the body. They have been used for centuries to help relieve constipation (irregularity). All three elements contain naturally occurring chemicals called anthroquinone glycosides.
These glycosides work to increase peristalsis (contractions of the intestinal walls). These anthroquinone laxatives are also believed to ease constipation by increasing the amount of water and electrolytes in the intestine.
In addition to the natural laxatives cape aloe, cascara sagrada and senna, Cape Aloe Lax includes fennel seed and African bird pepper. Fennel seed helps relieve any intestinal cramping and gas. African bird pepper is known for its ability to sooth indigestion and reduce any inflammation in the colon.
Vitabase Cape Aloe Lax is an excellent alternative to over-the-counter drugs. It can be used for the relief of occasional constipation (irregularity). This product generally produces bowel movements in 6 to 12 hours.
Suggested Use: Oral dosage for adults and children over 18 years of age: One (1) capsule daily taken at bedtime or when needed with 8 ounces of water, juice or beverage of choice. Do not take more than (1) capsule in 24 hours. Consult a physician before administering to children under 18 years of age.
