Fiber Clean is a convenient way to increase the amount of dietary fiber in your diet. The fiber in our formula comes from psyllium husks, an all-natural source used worldwide. Psyllium is grown all over the world and has been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine and Chinese medicine for several centuries.
While it has been used in Europe now for decades, its use in the United States only increased in popularity near the end of the twentieth century.
The use of psyllium has been well documented through scientific studies in recent years. The primary uses for psyllium are relief of constipation and diarrhea. There is also some evidence to indicate that may support lower cholesterol levels. The 15,000 gel coated seeds on the psyllium plant are high in dietary fiber. The substance on the seeds, called mucilage, swells when exposed to water.
This extra bulk helps move material through the bowel and also lubricates the lining of the intestine. While it may seem contradictory, psyllium also is used to treat diarrhea as well as bouts of irritable bowel syndrome. Because of its ability to bulk up when exposed to water, the psyllium has the capacity to remove excessive water present during bouts of diarrhea.
Fiber Clean contains 500 mg of psyllium husk powder to effectively and easily increase your fiber intake.
Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, adults take one (1) capsule with eight (8) oz. of water, four (4) to eight (8) times daily, or as directed by a health care professional. Store in a cool, dry place and away from direct light.
