History and Usage:

Borage GLA-125 is from 100% Borage (Borago officinalis) Oil, the highest potency source of Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) available. Borage plant seed contains 22–25% GLA, more than any other seed oil.

Borage oil contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA), a fatty acid that the body transfer to a substance called prostaglandin E1 (PGE1). PGE1 has anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for improving the symptoms of acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Borage oil may also act as a natural blood thinner and blood vessel dilator, thereby promoting healthy circulation, which can decrease high blood pressure and its associated risks, including impotence in men.

Additionally, Borage oil has been shown to be effective against the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. Studies also suggest that the GLA in borage oil may ease common PMS symptoms.
