Wild Oregano (Origanum campactum) is an aromatic herb native to the mountains of the Mediterranean region. The oil is derived from its leaves and has a pleasant, warm and spicy scent. What gives oregano its distinctive fragrance is a phenol called carvacrol. It is this same substance that gives oregano its antibacterial property, which can assist in creating a healthy complexion. Thymol, another component, acts as an antifungal agent. When topically applied, it may prevent or reduce the severity of yeast infections, such as tinea. Used as a massage oil, Wild Oregano relaxes. It can ease discomforts of the skin and muscles both because it reduces inflammation and possesses analgesic qualities.
Suggested Use: For external use only.
