Cartilage is a type of connective tissue made up of a strong, flexible mixture of collagen, protein and sugar and cells called chondrocytes. Since as far back as 1954 scientist have researched the use of shark cartilage as treatment for arthritis and psoriasis along with other conditions.
Laboratory and animal studies show promise for using shark cartilage as an anti-inflammatory to relieve arthritis, to stimulate immune system functions and to relieve pain.
Cartilage contains glucosamine and chondroitin, which have proven beneficial for osteoarthritis. They reduce pain and swelling, improve walking pace and range of motion and slow osteoarthritis’ progression. There is also evidence that shark cartilage may reduce inflammation associated with psoriasis.
Suggested Use: As a dietary supplement, adults take one (1) capsule, three (3) to six (6) times daily with meals or, as directed by a health care professional. Store in a cool, dry place and away from direct light.
