OsteoPrime® by Enzymatic Therapy was created by Jonathan Wright, M.D. and Alan Gaby, M.D. to help maintain bone health. Ninety-nine percent of the calcium in the body is found within the bones and teeth, but in order to properly absorb and use the calcium available from food and supplements, the body needs vitamin D. Magnesium plays a vital role in the formation of new calcium crystals through its ability to activate specific enzymes. Vitamin K aids in the production of osteocalcin, the structure upon which calcium crystallizes. Manganese is important due to its assistance in connective tissue synthesis and bone mineralization.
