Yohimbe has aphrodisiac, stimulant, and tonic properties which effect men and women by blocking adrenergic receptors leading to and increase in dilation of blood vessels and lowering blood pressure which helps enlarge blood vessels, particularly in the sexual organs; in addition to elevating mood, reducing depression and anxiety.
