Artichoke 500 Extract is standardized to contain 5% chlorogenic acid and 5% cynarin. Clinical research has documented the following beneficial properties of artichoke extract:
Artichoke extract is made from the basal leaves of the artichoke plant. Flavonoids and caffeoylquinic acids are substances of interest in Artichoke extract. They belong to the polyphenol group and include chlorogenic acid and caffeoylquinic acid derivatives, one of which is cynarin. Artichoke extract has many digestive benefits. It may encourage liver function and help protect glutathione levels. Artichoke extract stimulates liver activity by promoting circulation within the liver. Artichoke extract inhibits oxidation of LDL cholesterol and boosts healthy levels of HDL cholesterol. Artichoke extract has been shown to aid digestion by stimulating bile synthesis, which supports detoxification and the absorption of fat-soluble nutrients.
