Inositol is a vitamin-like nutrient that works closely with the B-complex of vitamins. Required for the formation of cell membrane, inositol is vital to healthy cell membranes, especially the specialized cells in the brain, bone marrow, eyes and intestines. It affects nerve transmission and aids in the breakdown of fats.
