History and Usage:

Prenatal Formula provides a full complement of the necessary vitamins and minerals required to keep pregnant and nursing women healthy. Pregnancy and lactation put enormous stress on a woman’s body and the average multi-vitamin supplement is not up to the task. Calcium, zinc, magnesium, manganese and iron are provided in their citrate forms that make them more readily available. These minerals are essential not only for the mother’s health, but also for that of her fetus or newborn. Prenatal Formula also provides 50% of the DV of folic acid, a deficiency of which can lead to neural tube deformities in the fetus. Bioflavonoids are included to promote good circulation and healthy blood vessels, staving off abnormal bleeding.
