Mononucleosis
About
Mononucleosis, or more commonly called "mono," is an infection caused by a virus. Depression, jaundice, headache, extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, swollen glands, achiness, fever, and sometimes rash are all indicators of mononucleosis.
Notes
- Do not use Ampicillin it can cause a skin rash and complicates the mononucleosis.
- Protein is needed for the antibodies to protect against complications such as jaundice and hepatitis.
- There is no cure and you need plenty of rest and a proper diet.

Advice
- Always eat 4 - 6 smaller meals per day.
- Always flush tissues.
- Call a doctor if your fever is above 102 or if you have pain in your upper left chest for 5 minutes with shallow breathes.
- Children do not need aspirin because is could cause mononucleosis.
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
- Half of you daily intake should be raw foods.
- Keep away from physical contact.
- Need to have chlorophyll in your diet.
- Need to rest.
- Never strain during a bowel movement.
- Stay away from fried foods, processed food, coffee, soft drinks, stimulants, tea, sugar, and white flour.
- To ease a sore throat rinse with hot water.
